To be successful working on your own, establishing your own brand or company you must be very organized with your resources to work efficiently and these are some points that you must keep in mind.

In principle, it sounds good to accept large projects in exchange for large payments, but if you do not have the experience or knowledge to carry them out and you accept them, you will look bad with your clients, they can sue you for non-compliance and you will be ventilated with other people who are interested in your services as a professional.

You should always be honest with your clients, that is being professional, admitting what you can and cannot do will make people respect you and look for you for that.

Establish what your hours will be.

It may sound contradictory, since the golden dream of people who work on their own is not to have such a strict schedule, but especially in the beginning you must be very disciplined and set your start and end time for your work day. This goes hand in hand with the next point.

Recognize your most productive time of the day and week.

You may have already noticed that your concentration is not the same throughout the day, nor throughout the week. You must pay attention to what your most productive time and day is so that you can schedule the most important activities for that moment.

This is very important and is one of the advantages of working on your own. Although you must set a schedule for yourself, it can be a “non-business” schedule, so to speak.

Personally speaking, my most productive time is 7:00 p.m. At 1:00 a.m., it’s my most creative and productive session of the day.

Establish where you will work.

Whether you work from home or rent a place, you must have a well-defined place to concentrate everything that has to do with your work in that specific area.

It is also important to mention that you should not scatter your work tools throughout your home or office, so that when you need them they are at hand.
